Externally, the Haval H6L retains the front fascia design language of the Haval Xiaolong MAX, with modifications to certain details such as the addition of an air intake above the front licence plate frame and the removal of the spoilers from the faux air intakes on either side of the front bumper. Along the flanks, the Haval H6L retains conventional door handles while dispensing with the smoked floating D-pillar styling employed on the Haval Xiaolong MAX.

In terms of interior design, the Haval H6L offers three colour schemes: pure black, black-brown, and beige-brown. The layout retains the cabin styling and functional configuration seen in the Haval Xiaolong MAX. Regarding configuration differences, the Haval H6L 1.5T Pro omits the following features compared to the 1.5T Max: 19-inch alloy wheels, 235/55 R19 tyres, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, intelligent evasion, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, intelligent cruise control, curve assist, power tailgate, power-adjustable front passenger seat, front seat ventilation, and automatic high/low beam switching.
