The Leapmotor Lafa5 has officially debuted. Positioned as a pure-electric compact vehicle, it boasts a maximum range of 605 kilometres under CLTC conditions, with higher-spec models featuring lidar technology. Pre-sales for the new model have commenced, offering five variants priced from $14,942 to $18,615.

The Leapmotor Lafa5 features a closed-off front fascia with elongated headlight clusters incorporating intermittent daytime running lights. The central front bumper incorporates multi-slat air intakes and an AGS active grille shutter system, complemented by a black sporty front lip at the lower section. The profile incorporates frameless doors, concealed door handles and black exterior mirror housings. The B-pillar trim employs gloss black glass material, complemented by 19-inch black alloy wheels.

The Leapmotor Lafa5 Standard Edition features a rear-mounted single-motor system, delivering maximum power outputs of 132 kilowatts and 160 kilowatts depending on the model configuration. Top speeds are 160 kilometres per hour and 170 kilometres per hour respectively, with the higher-powered variant achieving an official 0-100 kilometres per hour acceleration time of 6.4 seconds.
Future Cockpit
In terms of interior design, the Leapmotor Lafa5 features a dual-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and a column-mounted gear selector. The air vents flanking the centre console are adorned with gold trim accents. The vehicle is equipped with an 8.8-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. It runs on the Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus system powered by a Qualcomm 8295P cockpit chip, supporting dual AI voice models: DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen.
