New Vehicle|Featuring a 39.1-inch central display screen and a long-wheelbase variant slated for domestic production next year, the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV makes its debut.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV made its world debut at the 2025 Munich Motor Show. Featuring an illuminated front grille, the vehicle boasts an 84-millimetre longer wheelbase compared to the petrol-powered Mercedes-Benz GLC (international variant). It will be equipped with a 39.1-inch MBUX HYPERSCREEN spanning the dashboard and air suspension technology derived from the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. According to plans, the domestically produced extended-wheelbase variant of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is scheduled for launch in 2026, at which time a six-seat configuration will also be introduced.
Stunning appearance
The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is the first model to emerge from Mercedes-Benz’s new generation design language. Its defining feature is an entirely new, large-scale polygonal front grille, featuring a robust chrome surround and symmetrical twin horizontal bars within the grille. One can even discern echoes of the front grilles found on classic Mercedes-Benz models. Mercedes-Benz previously revealed that this grille offers an optional illumination function comprising 942 backlit points, delivering a pixelated dynamic display effect. Both the three-pointed star emblem and the grille’s frame can be illuminated. It is understood that the new GLC EV’s grille design will become the defining element of Mercedes-Benz’s future family front-end styling.
Luxury interior
The Mercedes-Benz GLC EV adopts the brand’s latest design language, featuring a 39.1-inch seamless MBUX Hyperscreen integrated into the centre console. Officially described as incorporating over 1,000 individual LEDs with matrix backlighting technology, this display offers intelligent zone dimming. A slider allows simultaneous adjustment of two display areas, providing 11 theme backgrounds and a new welcome animation. The vehicle is equipped with the fourth-generation MBUX intelligent human-machine interface system, while the Mercedes-Benz Virtual Assistant now features two additional avatars. Furthermore, the model incorporates a smart light-sensing panoramic glass roof with nine-zone ambient lighting and a starlight effect.
Extreme power
The Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is developed on an 800-volt architecture, delivering a maximum power output of 360 kilowatts and peak torque of 800 Newton metres. It is paired with a two-speed transmission and boasts an official top speed of 210 kilometres per hour. Under WLTP conditions, it achieves a pure electric range of 713 kilometres. Supporting DC fast charging up to 330 kilowatts, a ten-minute charge can extend the range by 303 kilometres.
